Tough to balance the desire for a high draft pick and the desire for the team to continue to bond and learn to win together.

I think next year we are certainly in the race for a playoff spot, and hope that Girgensons and Ennis can contribute more by bouncing back to their norm, 15/30 for Girgs, 20-25/45 for Ennis...assuming they are both here given the lower trade value currently. Combine that with the anticipated moves by GMTM and 2016-17 looks like an exciting season!

As for the draft, I am wondering if Murray packages our 1st and other assets to try to move into the top 3 to land one of the Finns...Puljujarvi is my selection.

Why would you trade your first round pick when the draft is in buffalo??

To get a legitimate #1 LHD. That would be only reason why...we do have many more picks in this draft especially in the 3rd. Murray may think he can get his guys in later rounds and use that to bring in a stud defender to play with Rasmus.

Anyone using loser points to calculate what constitutes a .500 record is a loser themselves.

The term ".500" is a numerical reference to the term winning percentage, which equates to an equal number of wins and losses, and is derived by taking the number of wins and dividing it by the number of games played.

For the mathematically challenged, the Buffalo Sabres have played 81 games thus far, and have won 34 of them.

34 divided by 81 = .420 (rounded up from .4197)

Therefore, the Sabres are NO WHERE CLOSE to the .500 mark, despite desperate fans, players, coaches, and upper management trying to spin it in a positive light to make themselves seem relevant. They probably want a participation trophy too.

with lehner getting dinged up a few times this year, it is essential the sabres lock up johnson for another year or 2 IMO

you can make a case it's better for the team to extend him than foligno

Wow, thank you SO much for your expert opinion, and all around wonderful attitude. You've been a ray of sunshine for me on this cloudy day.

I think its pretty obvious everyone is using .500 in terms of points. ".500" is numerical reference to ANY average of just about anything you can think of. So thank you, try again.

What if I pretend all of the overtime and shootout loses are ties, or even better I just ignore them completely?

So does this post make you feel better about yourself ? You seem to have a short memory . It wasn't that long ago that the Blackhawks were the laughing stock of the league . When they were rebuilding did you dash the hopes and dreams other Blackhawk fans? This team improved 25 points from last year . It is only a matter of time till our young guns are leading us to long playoff runs. We are happy with our teams improvement. Glad you could boost your frail ego by coming here and pooh poohing Sabres fans. Really time for you to investigate getting a life.

Sure, you could do that. You could also pretend all your 1 goal losses never happened and then you would be a REALLY good team
